It is a rehabilitation program in interaction with the environment and people intended for young people with special needs from the age of 12 years and above. The student is exposed to practical stations in which he practices various activities similar to the situations he faces in life, to prepare him to live in society effectively and independently.

Program philosophy:

  • The program is based on creating environmental and social interaction opportunities to prepare the beneficiary for a better interactive life.
  • The program adopts individual evaluation as a mechanism for beneficiary evaluation and continuous measurement.
  • The program adopts detailed group work based on the needs of each individual at a certain stage.
  • The program adopts work in groups and individuals, according to the activity and level of the beneficiary.
  • The program is based on a policy of seizing opportunities to raise the level of the beneficiary in multiple aspects.
  • There are no levels in the program and the goals are adapted to the level of abilities of the case

 

Target group:

Students aged 12 years and over who suffer from:

  • ADHD.
  • Autism and similar disorders.
  • Mental retardation
  • Quadriplegia.
  • It accepts beneficiaries who have been rejected from school due to behavioral or independence problems.
  • Adolescents who completed “early intervention” rehabilitation programs and were not accepted into schools.

The Obour Youth Program is based on the ASDAN curriculum for life skills development.

The program contains skills varying in level of difficulty, and the program is linked to exposing the student to practical stations in which he employs various skills by practicing activities related to the field, The student achieves the transition to higher skills in the same fields.
